Privacy Policy for Subtitle Workshop

About this policy

Subtitle Workshop is provided by Aktyva konsaltynh technologies. This policy describes data handling in the current application, which creates, edits, synchronizes, previews, and exports SRT and WebVTT subtitle tracks.

Data access and local processing

The app reads subtitle files that you choose through Android’s document picker, including their filenames and contents. You can also enter or paste subtitle text directly. This information is processed on your device to edit cues, adjust timing, search and replace text, check errors, display subtitle previews, and export files. The preview displays subtitles only and does not access or play video.

Subtitle text may contain personal information depending on what you import or enter. No account or registration is required. The inspected application does not implement collection of subtitle content, personal information, usage analytics, advertising identifiers, or crash reports by the developer, and it does not implement uploads to a developer-operated server.

Data stored on your device

Saved projects include project names, subtitle text, cue timings, supported cue identifiers and settings, file format and encoding, import notes, and a saved-edit timestamp. The app also automatically stores a recovery draft of eligible open tracks, which may contain work you have not explicitly saved as a project.

Saved preferences include your timing adjustment step, export format, text encoding, and preview text size. Android stores these projects, drafts, and preferences in app-private SharedPreferences.

If you use the browser preview, projects, recovery drafts, and saved preferences are stored in that browser’s local storage. The preview supports pasted subtitle text; native document selection and file export are available in the Android app.

Exports, sharing, and third parties

The app writes exported subtitle files to a destination you select through Android’s document picker. If you select a cloud-backed document provider, that provider may transfer or store the selected files according to its own practices. Selecting such a provider is separate from the app’s local subtitle processing.

The inspected source does not implement advertising, analytics, tracking, sale of personal information, or automatic sharing with developer-operated services. Its declared libraries support the interface, Android integration, and local application operations; no advertising or analytics SDK is identified.

Android backup is enabled in the app configuration. Depending on your device and backup settings, Android may include app data in system backups or device transfers. Those operations are governed by your platform provider and settings.

Permissions and security

File access uses Android’s document picker for the documents and export destinations you select. The inspected manifest does not request broad storage, camera, microphone, contacts, or location permissions. It declares Internet permission, but the implemented subtitle workflow does not contain a network upload or remote processing function.

The app relies on Android’s app-private storage protections, or browser storage protections in the preview. No additional app-level encryption of stored projects or drafts is implemented. Exported files are ordinary subtitle files whose protection depends on their selected storage location. No app-level data transmission is implemented, so encryption in transit cannot be described for such a transmission. No storage or security measure guarantees complete protection.

Retention and deletion

There is no timed automatic deletion schedule in the inspected application. Saved projects and preferences remain in local storage until removed or overwritten. The recovery draft remains until replaced by another eligible track or removed by clearing app data.

You can delete saved projects from the Projects screen. Deleting a project does not automatically erase a separate recovery draft, the original imported file, or exported files. To remove all locally stored projects, drafts, and preferences on Android, use the device’s option to clear the app’s storage. In the browser preview, clear the preview site’s browser storage. Remove imported and exported documents separately using the relevant file manager or storage provider. Backup copies must be managed through the applicable platform or provider settings.

For privacy questions or deletion requests, contact mateuszbednarski696@gmail.com. No in-app remote deletion request system is implemented. The developer cannot directly erase subtitle projects stored only on your device or in a storage provider you control. Retention and deletion procedures for any correspondence you send to this email address have not been established in the available information.

Children’s privacy

The supplied information does not establish an intended age range or a specific child-directed audience. The inspected application does not implement accounts, advertising, tracking, or developer-side collection of children’s personal information. Local subtitle files may contain information about anyone, including children, depending on the content you choose to enter or import. Contact the privacy address with questions concerning children’s privacy.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated to reflect changes in the app or its data practices. Review the policy accompanying the version of Subtitle Workshop you use. No specific policy-change notification mechanism is established in the available information.
